Notes of Thanks

Good Morning Kim
I wanted to email you first thing this morning to tell you THANK YOU. Thank
you for your vision, determination, and tenacity. Robert came home so
excited. He talked about the trip all the way home and for about 30 mins
after we got home and finally crashed at 1:15 am. Between the standing in the
cold. The lack of sleep. The excitement. The adrenaline rush. The crowds of
people, all in unity. The tours. The breakfast (LOL). Hearing the speech
first hand. Taking a picture with AJ from 106 and Park. This was an
awesome experience for him and I am so glad that he was able to be a part
of history. I didn't get to see his pictures yet but will send them soon.

Kim thank you again, and please thank Anthony and all the other mentors.
This trip really helped him to bond with his fellow BWD brothers and
solidified the importance of what was taking place in our country. I am so
glad that he is a part of such a wonderful organization. Boys Who Dare
rocks!!! I will be bringing my four year old nephew to the next meeting.

A Million more times thank you for all that you do, and may God continue to
bless all your future endeavors.

Dee

Boys Who D.A.R.E. Receive Traveling Grace from Hunter Hill First Baptist Church

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tuesday, January 13, 2009
Six days and counting!
We are so excited about our upcoming trip to witness the Inauguration of our 44th President, the First African American President, President Elect Barack H. Obama.
What an awesome time we are living in! We all can say "In My Lifetime!" Who would have ever thought?
It is with a humble heart that I first say "Thank You!" for your sincere support of not only this effort but for your continued support of boys who d.a.r.e., Inc. over the years. We have great things in store for our organization, for the boys, the volunteers and the community.
Secondly, as we prepare to hit the road on Sunday at Midnight, understanding that we will be joining millions of well wishers from the entire country, I would like for us to be on one accord. With that in mind I would like to invite everyone that is traveling with us and even those that are not traveling, but have a connection with bwd, to join us for worship Sunday Morning. Although bwd is not a religious organization and we do not intend to impose our personal religious beliefs on anyone, I am a firm believer in the power of prayer.
It is with great anticipation that we begin this journey and I believe that it is important for us to give thanks collectively as well as support an organization that has supported us since conception, so what better time than now, it is a great way to begin this exciting endeavor.
Anthony and I worship at Hunter Hill First Baptist Church and 2nd Sunday is casual Sunday. So, if possible wear your bwd sweatshirts or t-shirts and we will all sit together. I really appreciate your consideration and I am looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday morning at 10:30 AM. We also, have members of bwd that are also members of Hunter Hill and we will be at the door to greet you with a smile. (D.J.; MarQuise;Christopher;Dakhari;Evann;Jarid and Justice).
